I still remember the first time I met Mozammel bhai. He was so down to earth and helpful. Same can be said for Fuad bhai, Faisal bhai, Topu bhai and others since I met them. BDC is now one of the biggest community in Bangladesh and its only been possible because of the hard work they put in behind the scene. They are not only changing our community but also changing our lives. I am also part of that change.
Since childhood I was a fan of cycling. I have been watching Tour de France since 2005. I was always fascinated by the sheer grit and determination of the professional cyclists. But never ever I thought of being part of a cycling community in Bangladesh. Our country had always faced difficulty doing good things. It needed some strong and willing people to bring about a change in this sport which was always ignored and discriminated. But finally the change is coming.
Cycling is now becoming a part of our lives. Sometimes it's something we can't even dream of leaving. Either you're commuting, training or riding for fun, it has grown as a lifestyle to many of us. It's bringing people together and giving them some breathing space in their typical exhausting lives. This is changing the cultural aspect of our lives which is very inspiring. I'm glad that I'm taking part in this change as well.
This revolution has changed my life completely. Life was so complicated before I started cycling. The hectic schedule was always tiring and boring. Hence it was full of frustrations. But now it feels so good to be out of something monotonous. Either taking part in trainings or weekly rides, it has changed my whole mindset. I got to meet so many good people with similar mindset. And knowledge sharing is a constant thing. Learning newer and better things is always part of BDC and it never gets boring.
I'm really privileged and honored to meet such great people in my life. The hard work they put in to maintain this community is immense. Slowly but surely they are changing our lives, hell yeah they changed mine..!!...I hope BDC grows strong day by day with the help of all the Mods and Activists. I'm pretty sure we are gonna see a positive change in out country and culture soon with the help of BDC. A Wind of Change is already coming....
